Clive Robert Benjamin Dunn OBE (9 January 1920 – 6 November 2012) was an English actor, comedian, singer, artist, and author. Dunn is most known for his role as Lance-Corporal Jones, the butcher (meat-cutter) in Dad's Army.

Dunn was born and grew up in Covent Garden, London, in the United Kingdom. He went to school at Sevenoaks and at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. As a child, he almost died from problems after his family got a doctor to remove his third nipple.[1]

Dunn spent four years as a prisoner of war in Nazi Germany during World War II.[2] He married Priscilla Morgan in 1959. They had two daughters, Jessica and Polly. Dunn and his family moved to Portugal where he spent his time painting until he became blind.[2] In 1975, he was created an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).[2]

Dunn died on the morning of 6 November 2012, in a hospital in Algarve, Portugal, from problems after a surgery. He was 92 years old.[3] He had worked in acting for almost 50 years.[2]
